Trauma

Each year, approximately five million children experience some form of traumatic event in the United States. Abuse and neglect, witnessing domestic violence, natural disasters, car accidents, a serious illness, sudden death of a loved one—all can have a devastating impact on the child, altering their physical, emotional, cognitive and social development.

If you believe your child has experienced abuse, violence or an upsetting event that is impairing their activities at school, at home, or with their friends and family, please give us a call.

Program & Services

  • Individual Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) - Evidence-based treatment program where youth (ages 3-17) learn healthy ways of coping with their feelings, while caregivers learn stress management, parenting and behavior management skills, and communication skills. As a result, caregivers are better able to manage their own emotional distress and support their child more effectively.
